From Beginner to Confident Player

Our 101, 102, and 103 classes are designed to help you build a strong foundation, gain experience through play, and develop the strategy needed to become a confident American Mahjong player.

Mahjong 101

$35 per player

Mahjong 101 is our beginner class. If you've never played before, this is where you start.

We'll teach you the basics of American Mahjong, including the tiles, how to set up the game, the Charleston, and the rules of play. You'll learn by doing, and we'll guide you through practice games so you can begin building confidence at the table.

No experience is needed, and we provide everything you need. Just bring yourself and a willingness to learn something new.

These are hosted by local businesses, we donate a portion of the proceeds back to the business or a local cause.

This can be booked as a private event for a girls night, a fundraiser. We do the private events for $45 per player.

Mahjong 102

$35 per player

Mahjong 102 is the next step after Mahjong 101.

In this class, you'll spend more time playing and less time learning the basic rules. We'll help you understand how to read the National Mah Jongg League card, choose hands, recognize patterns, and make strategic decisions during the game.

This is a guided play class, so we're there to answer questions, offer tips, and help you build confidence while you play.

We recommend taking Mahjong 102 after attending at least one Mahjong 101 class.

Mahjong 103 is for players who are comfortable with the basics and ready to elevate their game.

In this class, we focus on strategy, hand selection, defensive play, pivots, reading the table, and improving your decision-making throughout the game. We'll discuss why certain plays work, how to adjust when your hand isn't coming together, and ways to increase your chances of success.

This class is designed for players who can play independently and want to become more confident, competitive, and strategic Mahjong players.

Social Play

Social Play is all about gathering around the Mahjong table, making new friends, reconnecting with familiar faces, and enjoying the game in a fun, relaxed environment.

Unlike our classes, Social Play is not guided instruction. Players are expected to know the basics of the game and be able to play independently. These events often feature fun themes, unique venues, special activities, door prizes, or community partnerships that make each gathering a little different.

Whether you arrive with friends or come on your own, Social Play is a great way to build confidence, gain experience, and become part of Oklahoma's growing Mahjong community.

League Play

League Play is where friendly competition meets community.

Our leagues are designed for players who want to play regularly, improve their skills, track their progress, and connect with other Mahjong enthusiasts. Players compete over multiple weeks, earning points and working toward league prizes while enjoying a welcoming and supportive environment.

We currently offer two leagues each year—one in Marlow and one in Duncan. Both leagues are open to all skill levels, including beginners who have completed at least one Mahjong lesson.

League registration includes special league perks, exclusive events, prizes, and access to our 103 Strategy Class.
